Biography

Dr. Carlos Luque-Corredera graduated in Chemistry in 2008 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ??where he also completed an official master's degree in Chemical Science and Technology in 2009. Subsequently, he completed his doctoral thesis in Organic Chemistry in the Azapoliciclos Synthesis Group from the Faculty of Pharmacy (University of Barcelona) in 2014, under the supervision of professors Josep Bonjoch and Ben Bradshaw. In 2015 he joined as a professor in the Basic Training Department of the Salesian University School of Sarrià (EUSS), where until now, he combines teaching with research tasks. Currently, he is a doctor linked to the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB), where he works in the Nanomol group, carrying out research tasks in a multidisciplinary project, which is called "Mol4Bio", and whose objective is to prepare of hybrid materials for biomedical applications. Among all the branches that are involved in this project, there is mechanical engineering, science of materials and electricity, as well as synthetic organic chemistry. From this collaboration, a post-doctoral stay was carried out at the University of Delaware (DE, USA) in 2017. In 2012 he obtained the Reader's accreditation issued by the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Catalonia (AQU).
