Bachelor's Degree in Automation and Industrial Electronic Engineering (GEI)

Automation has become in recent years one of the most important sectors of our economy, and it is about to become even more important in the future. Apart from production lines automation in the manufacturing processes (cars, etc.), nowadays automation of systems and services has become increasingly important. Terms such as industry 4.0, internet of things, smart grids, smart cities, home automation, robotics, energy efficiency, etc., are becoming common in the current scenario. In the future, everything is expected to be automated and connected.

The engineer participates in the design of automation systems, the choice of components and electronic systems, the programming of these systems (industrial computer) and its maintenance.

Moreover, electronics technology constitutes the basis so that an automated system can work. Thus, it is necessary to design and fix electronic boards with its electronic circuits and to program these circuits for electronic measuring equipment (temperature, water flow, velocity, pressure ...) control (electric motors , heaters, chemical toilets, alternative energy, robots ...) or alarm centers.

A Graduate in Automation and Industrial Electronic Engineering works in the operations management field, in the electronics and automation sector and the field of technical support.

The Bachelor's Degree in Automation and Industrial Electronic Engineering includes the attributions of the Industrial Technical Engineer.
